Barker Collins reports fresh orders at Offshore Europe
Barker Collins, a precision engineering subcontractor, has reported that around £1 million worth of orders have likely been generated by a good show through its recent efforts at Offshore Europe.
The event, which took place in Aberdeen this month, resulted in the organisation's managing director Chris Carter claiming the interest surrounding the company's "excellence through innovation" mantra was well-founded, with many organisations impressed by quick lead times - some of them being half those offered by other companies.
Mr Carter continued: "Our non-stop networking with both existing and potential customers at the event has generated an impressive enquiry pipeline."
The £5.5 million investment in its Sheffield base also turned heads at the gathering, the organisation added, with the new inclusion of CNC machining technology impressing many in its ability to provide the likes of whipstocks, stabilisers, pipeline tooling, pumps, valves and seabed fastening systems.
Barker Collins prides itself on its provision of five-axis horizontal boring as well as its CNC milling machines, working with huge clients including Cummins and JCB.
