Subcon 2009 provides chances

Following the addition of 160 exhibitors to its books, Subcon 2009 aims to give visitors an "unrivalled chance" to look into their company's sourcing strategies for manufacturing through subcontracting, it has been stated.

Organisers of the event, which is set to take place at the NEC in Birmingham between June 9th and 11th, hope to give visitors a better experience year-on-year, expanding its facilities to include a manufacturing equipment and materials zone this time around.

Exhibitors include CMZ, Wenzel UK, Laser Lines, Lighthouse and Bibus UK, with CNC machines, laser profiling machines and vacuum casting equipment all being showcased.

The event's organisers continued: "Manufacturing services on offer cover everything from machined parts, electronic assemblies, castings, plastic mouldings and metal fabrications, through to full manufacturing services, design and build, and rapid prototyping."

Subcon aims to push forward the manufacturing industry in the UK, which currently accounts for 15 per cent of the country's gross domestic product and 50 per cent of exports.
