Jenson Button Brawn no more
Those wanting to have a big career through
precision engineering may want to take a leaf out of Ross Brawn's book, whose early steps started in the trade at the base level.
The Daily Telegraph noted how Brawn, who triumphed with Jenson Button to win the F1 Championship in his own team's inaugural year, started out as a milling machine operator in 1976 at March Engineering, yet now could make millions from a deal with Mercedes-Benz.
Germany's prestige car maker secured Brawn GP this week in a deal rumoured to be worth around £110 million - something the owner is particularly happy about.
Speaking to the newspaper, he described the last 12 months of his life as an "incredible journey".
Brawn continued: "From fighting for our survival to forging a strong relationship with Mercedes-Benz high-performance engines, winning both the constructors' and drivers' world championships, and now accepting Aabar and Daimler's offer to buy our team which will secure its future."
Jenson Button is no longer with the former Brawn GP team, instead making the switch to McLaren to join fellow world champion and Brit Lewis Hamilton.
