Following a successful Open House event this October, we at Star GB have set our sights high for the future. After greeting over 100 companies during the three-day event, we have received a surge of orders and hope to expand our reach to more UK engineers than ever before.

The Open House gave us the opportunity to introduce our guests to our all-new UK headquarters. UK Managing Director, Steve Totty and Worldwide Machine Tools Division Managing Director, Hiroshi Tanaka were both on hand to deliver inspiring speeches and formally open the facility – a stunning purpose built 16,000ft² facility in Derby whose scale and design dazzled customers new and old.

It was the perfect venue to showcase our latest and greatest sliding head lathes, including the world unveiling of the brand new SR32JII machine. This new model perfectly represents the pedigree of technological advancement we at Star live by – pushing the limits of what can be achieved through CNC machining by expanding capacity, improving tooling, and enhancing capability.
