The combination of cutting edge precision engineering software and top-of-the-range systems is allowing one company to provide the best to its customers.

Mayflower Engineering revealed that its use of EdgeCam software alongside CNC lathes, turning centres and milling machines is able to create wonderful things for clients at its Sheffield base.

Operations director for Mayflower Engineering Glyn Hobson said that the organisation sees itself as a pioneering company and as such is constantly looking for ways to upgrade its systems.

He explained: "Having such an in-house machining capability enables us to produce complex structures using a variety of materials including stainless steels, carbon steels and non-ferrous metals specifically tailored to our client's needs."

Mr Hobson added that through the specialist CNC machining systems, high levels of quality control maintain the integrity of each piece through every stage of production.

Mayflower's typical services suit a number of sectors, according to the organisation, including power generation, rail, defence and offshore applications.
