ICAM releases new CNC software
ICAM, a technology firm specialising in supporting CNC machine tools, has signed a business partner agreement to allow the creation of a post-processing product development suite within Mastercam.
The company has produced the system in conjunction with CNC Software so that Mastercam programmers are now able to look into post-processing options, making it easier for individuals to apply the solutions to five axis machines and turning centres across the world.
ICAM specialises in multi-axis performance, high-speed machining, tool-tip programming and arc fitting of point-to-point data.
Commenting on the developments, corporate sales specialist at CNC Software Doug Nemeth said that ICAM is the most widely-used program for such activities, allowing users to produce items and market them in a shorter period of time.
He continued: "Mastercam programmers can rest assured that they can obtain high-quality and proven ICAM post-processors that support all major machine tools and controllers."
ICAM's first commercial product was released in 1983.
