Mach opened by HRH
Prince Andrew, the Duke of York will perform an official opening of Mach on Monday. This years Machine Tool event runs for five days at the Birmingham NEC, halls 4 & 5.
Mach 2010 comes at a time when manufacturing is starting to show signs of real growth, HRH the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment will oficially open the event at 3.30pm.
A recent CBI survey shows improvement in both export and total order books and expectations for output growth over the coming quarter are up, with SME’s the most optimistic.
The UK also leads other euro-zone and EU27 countries on European Industrial New Orders, according to data from Eurostat, with a 36.3% increase in orders compared to March 2009.
27,000 visitors are expected to visit Mach and almost 450 exhibitors will be showing the latest in engineering-based hi-tech machine tools, tooling and accessories.
